Matt Dieter is a sales and marketing strategist, entrepreneur and public speaker, who founded and currently runs two successful media companies.
He is the founder and president of Blue Reef Creative, a design company concentrated on producing innovative, results-focused marketing and business solutions for their clients. Blue Reef has been praised as one of the Southeast’s foremost digital media and creative shops, providing clients with insightful marketing strategies and creative execution. In addition to winning dozens of creative awards, the firm was recognized as Outstanding Business of the Year in 2004.
In addition to Blue Reef Creative, Matt is also co-founder and associate publisher of Her Sports + Fitness, an award-winning national women’s fitness magazine, where he oversees finance, operations and online initiatives.
Matt began his career as a change management consultant for PriceWaterhouseCoopers. He worked with senior executives to effectively manage the human element of implementing large-scale business process redesign efforts. Matt continued his career as an IT strategy consultant with Grant Thornton, where he worked to develop corporation-wide IT strategies.
Prior to founding Blue Reef Creative, Matt was senior client partner at Red Sky Interactive, a 600 person interactive agency whose clients included Coke, Nike, Texaco, MetLife, Miller Beer, Absolut Vodka, Mattel and Altoids. His responsibilities included ensuring the effective transfer of various consumer brands from traditional media to the Internet.
Throughout his career, Matt has consulted for firms including The Walt Disney Company, Toyota, Sallie Mae, Mattel, and Sony Pictures Entertainment. He has been quoted in numerous newspapers and magazines including the Wall Street Journal.
Matt earned his B.S. from Georgetown University, and his MBA at The Anderson School at the University of California, Los Angeles. He lives in St. Petersburg, Fla., with wife Dawna and two dogs, Buffett and Valkyrie.
